 My Thoughts

Last year, after buying a caramel apple at a fair for about $5, I thought it was completely ridiculous and decided to make my own from scratch with Josiah (my 4 year-old). I quickly realized why they cost so much- the whole process creates a sticky-icky mess... and, when the kids start eating them, there is an even bigger mess. This year, I thought Marzetti Caramel Dips would be a perfect alternative and it was a definite hit at our house.

We moved up to the mountains a few months ago and are now right in the middle of apple country. Surrounded by apple houses and farms, I knew exactly what I had planned when I tried Marzetti Caramel Dip for the first time. It's a great mid-afternoon snack for the kids. I cut up some Granny Smith apples from Mercier Orchards (in Blue Ridge, GA) and the kids love to dip the pieces into the caramel dip. It's delicious and satisfies that need for candy without all of the calories. Marzetti Caramel Dips come in lite and fat free, as well as several other varieties, though I chose the Marzetti Old Fashioned Caramel Dip. It tastes just like eating a caramel apple at the fair. The 16oz. container cost around $3.50 and, after using it several times, we still have over half of it left!

This year we are entertaining family for Thanksgiving and I now know exactly what I'm setting out as a snack for everyone while we finish cooking- Marzetti Caramel Dip with some delicious local Granny Smith Apples. I have a feeling that snack will be a huge hit with everyone and it won't totally fill them up either. I also saw Marzetti Caramel Dip Pack-A-Snacks at Walmart and thought these would be perfect for my son's lunch box along with some fruit. I'm going to get some next week when we go shopping!

So, are you ready to try out Marzetti Caramel Dips for yourself? Thanks to Marzetti, one lucky CTM reader will receive a coupon for a free container of Marzetti Caramel Dip!

I LOVE the Old Fashioned Caramel Dip, but, browsing the website, I discovered a
Otria Spinach Artichoke Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip that I know I would love, too.
