Potty Pony Pals Review & Giveaway

Josiah, now 3 years old, has proven to be a tough cookie when it comes to potty training. Just last year, at the age of 2, he was almost potty trained when his little brother, Liam, was born. As soon as Liam was home, all out potty training efforts were out the door. Josiah reverted and utterly refused to use the potty as his rebellion. A few months ago he began showing signs of readiness again so, we starting searching for potty training pants. That's when I found Potty Pony Pals, which is more than just a training pant; it's an entire system.

Potty Pony Pals encourages toddler to use the potty instead of wetting and dirtying the little pony printed on the inside of the training pants. The training kit comes with two pairs of organic cotton briefs and a dvd. The video is about a little pony, the very pony sleeping on the inside of the training pants, who does not like to get wet or dirty because it smears his spots. It's your child's duty to keep him nice and dry, though the pony understand that some accidents will happen.

Featured on ABC and recently in Family Times magazine, many moms have found Potty Pony Pals a very effective tool in teaching toddlers to encourage using the potty. Give them a try and save $100 a month. Just imagine how great life will be without disposable training pants and diapers. Give your little ones the skills and motivation needed to successfully use the potty today!

My Thoughts

When I read about Potty Pony Pals, I was intrigued. Never have I seen a system quite like it, with the training pants and dvd. I was excited to receive the kit, with 2 pairs of very soft organic cotton briefs, with cute cow spots on the outside and the little sleeping pony on the inside. We also received the dvd as part of the kit and Josiah wanted to watch it as soon as it arrived. I popped it in and, though I wasn't stunned at the quality or action, it held Josiah's attention. He loves animals, especially horses, as most kids do, and even wanted to watch it again! While watching the story of the little pony, he was encouraged to keep his training pants dry or the little pony would cry and, of course, we don't want the pony to be sad.

When the video was over, we started using the pants immediately, only because Josiah insisted. I was immediately impressed at his will to do this and keep the pony safe and clean. The dvd amazingly breaks down potty training in a way for children to process and understand. Before trying Potty Pony Pals, I was honestly starting to feel discouraged, but my faith has been restored. Josiah is well on his way to being potty trained and, any time he wears his "pony pants" (what he calls them) he never has an accident anymore. It was a process, and we had our accidents along the way. The poor boy came to me the first time and asked if I heard the pony crying. I told him it was okay, just to try not to do it again, and that's all it took- encouragement and time.

My only complaint is that the briefs are one-size. This may be a problem for smaller or larger children. They happened to fit Josiah perfectly, at 3 and 31 pounds. The elastic definitely makes them stretch, though I'm not sure how far. As you can tell in the picture, they are a little baggy in places, which makes the pants look uneven, but they fit well and are very comfortable. Josiah has no problems playing, dancing, and being silly in his Potty Pony Pals pants. Also, as soon as you wash them, the briefs begin to pile a bit, though it doesn't effect the pants in any way, though.

I'm more than pleased with Potty Pony Pals and highly recommend them to any parents about to enter potty training or those already going through the process unsuccessfully. I know how stressful potty training can be and this system really makes it much easier for both parent and child.

I have been potty training my daughter since she was 2 and now she's 3! It's been more than a year. I don't know what to do anymore. I heard about Potty Pony Pals a few months ago and wanted to try it. But I was not sure it was going to work because I havent read any reviews about them.
