Spring Fling Giveaway: Ergo Baby Carrier Review & Giveaway Early Entries

I have wanted an Ergobaby Carrier for as long as I can remember and couldn't wait to review one! I am a big fan of attachment parenting and babywearing so, we have tried many baby carriers, slings, and wraps over the years. I have severe back issues from a misplaced epidural during my emergency c-section in 2007 and early arthritis! I know, it makes me feel old just saying that. Unfortunately, slings and wraps are just not a very good choice for me and make my back hurt worse that just holding my son in my arms. I had the same issue with my very first baby carrier when I had Josiah.

What immediately struck me about the Ergobaby carrier is the ergonomic design, allowing the weight of baby to fall on your hips instead of back. The waist belt is easily adjustable and non-slip, as well as the other straps so, you can be sure the baby carrier is locked into place and baby is completely safe and snug. All Ergobaby products are tested and inspected to meet very high standards of quality before put on the market. In addition, Ergobaby carriers are designed to hold up to 90 pounds!

I forgot to mention the Ergobaby can be worn several ways- on the front, back, and on the hip, which makes Ergobaby truly one of the most versatile baby carriers on the market! 


My Thoughts
I couldn't wait to get my Ergobaby and, as soon as it arrived, I had to try it out,  of course! I was sent a gently used Ergobaby Organic with Blue Embroidery and Starburst lining. This particular design has always been one of my favorites so, I was very happy, but it seems this particular carrier has been discontinued! The first thing I noticed, besides the cute designs, was how soft it really is. The straps are, by far, the softest of any carrier I've tried thus far, making the baby's weight feel like nothing.

 When babies are smaller, they are worn on front and side, but as they grow older, they can ride on your back! It's great fun for them to see things from such a different perspective. When I wear my Ergobaby, my back never hurts and I can tell Liam is having a ball. The great thing is I can even carry Josiah, my toddler. We love to go hiking, especially in the spring, and he gets tired sometimes. This will be perfect. With the hubs helping, we can plop him on my back and keep on going!

I can't say enough about Ergobaby and think all parents should get one. They even have wonderful accessories, too, including the Infant Insert, Front Pouch, and Teething Pads! I actually bought the teething pads before I had the carrier, and they are great for teething babies.
