Wishing Our Readers A Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone! We hope your holidays were great and you are ready for a year full of surprises and giveaways here at Children Teaching Mama. We will be finishing up more of the giveaways and reviews that were not completed before Christmas and playing catch up throughout January. Come February, we will welcome our annual Valentine's Day Gift Guide! There will be other surprises to come, I am sure, but for now we will finish up the holiday fun.

As I've mentioned in the past, my youngest son, Liam, was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis at around a year old and, at the age of three, he has gone through more than I have in my 32 years. Right now he is going through chemotherapy and has done very well with it so far. We've been very pleased because he's not had any of the side effects you most often hear about. The only problem is a decreased immune system, which has caused the most issues. We've been in and out of the hospital lately and he's had everything from sinus infections to pneumonia in the past two months.

We ask for your thoughts and prayers this year, as the next few months will determine the next part of Liam's treatment. He has 3 tumors in his brain and, hopefully, the chemo will decrease their size and keep them from growing. Liam's next MRI is later this month and then we will know more.

I want to thank all of my readers for following his progress and all all the well-wishes I've been sent. Please be patient with me over the next few months as we spend a great deal of time in the hospital and I don't have as much time to write up reviews. I'm still getting the hang of our change in life, but once I do, everything will be back to normal.

Lots of love, thanks and warm wishes to all of my readers,

Roxanne
