Addressing The Important Issue of Child Identity Theft with Bankrupt At Birth by Joe Mason

There are many subjects I think are important for parents to address and educate themselves about, including child identity theft. The more I learn about the possibility, the more I realize the need for parents to take control of the situation and protect their children! Child identity theft is on the rise and so many people have gotten away with this heinous crime in the past, but now parents are fighting back and I think it is time we joined the fight, too. Did you know it can take months or even years to recover and can create an unbelievable amount of debt for your child? It happens all over the world and that is why I think reading Bankrupt At Birth by Joe Mason is a must for all parents and caregivers.

Of course, as parents we want to protect our children from harm, but identity theft is not the first thing many of us think of when considering these harmful things. Would you? Bankrupt At Birth addresses this issue and why we should invest more time educating ourselves about child identity theft for the sake of our children and their future. We should be able to notice the signs of child ID theft. Imagine finding out your child owes $50,000 at the age of 8, thanks to an unknown thief. Now imagine it taking over a decade to resolve. It's a scary scenario and that's why we should work to eliminate the possibility before something like this happens.

When I educate myself about a subject I want all the facts and I want them to be backed up with evidence, which is one of the reasons I enjoyed Bankrupt At Birth. The book not only provides eye-opening statistics, but also actual stories of child identity theft. Reading about children and parents who have been through this breaks my heart and makes the possibility of identity theft feel much more personal, real and more of a threat. Reading this book helped me realize how important it is to educate others on child identity theft and how we can do our part to protect our children. I would never want my children to go through what many others have experienced. I recommend Bankrupt At Birth to all parents because it is important to get the facts because the threat of identity theft really begins at birth. You can purchase Bankrupt At Birth on Amazon for only $11.45!

Be sure to check out Identity Guard for free child identity theft information and a free child identity theft protection kit. In addition, I suggest reading about the Identity Guard® kID Sure child identity theft solution plans and see how enrolling can help your child.

This service and the book Bankrupt at Birth were provided to me for review at no charge. In addition I received monetary compensation. All opinions are my own.

I had a friend years ago that I found out had used all of her kids names for any bills, so those children probably by now have a debt before they were 5. So sad that people do this to children, and I think the punishment should be great.

This really makes me sick and I have been reading more and more about this. Just seems like something has to be soon to prevent this.

Identity theft is such a problem lately, but I didn't realize it was so common for children.

It's absolutely crazy that this actually happens I've taken precautions with where I store my children's information and I shred any papers with their names or information on them.

It really shows that you are best off shredding everything that comes in the mail! And not giving any personal information out... I hate even filling out forms at the drs office!
