Beanie Designs Handmade Organic Baby Hats Review & Giveaway

When I was a child, I was at the beach all summer. My skin was tanned, my hair was blonde and there was never a worry of burning. My children = the complete opposite. Josiah has red hair. Enough said! Liam shrieks as soon as the sun hits his face. I know we need hats anytime we go outside and, especially, when we go to the beach. That's why I was so excited to review Beanie Designs!

The creator of Beanie Designs was actually taught to crochet by her husband and she has been addicted ever since! You can tell that her designs are more than a hobby! She started as a way to relax, but now she shares her cute baby hats and blanket designs with other Mamas.

My Thoughts

Looking at all of the adorable hats, it was seriously difficult to decide on just one design! Beanie Designs offers so many different designs for girls and boys from infant all the way to 10 years. That's a lot of hats! Plus, they are handmade with organic cotton.
I eventually decided on the Brown & Tan Earflap Hat in the Baby Boy Hats category. I love the cute little animal hats and, though Josiah told me he is "growing too big" (I could have cried when he said this) for such things, Liam loves them!

Of course the hat arrived and Josiah told me it was his. I knew this would happen, but I was secretly very happy. Liam has neurofibromatisis, which makes his head much larger than most babies at 18 months. This means Liam and Josiah have about the same size head and they can share the hat! The crocheted hat is absolutely adorable! There's just no other way to put it! The little ears stand up to look just like a little bear cub. Liam crawled around on the floor making animal noises, so it ended up being a great imaginary play toy, too. Who knew?

The hat has already been towed around the house, the car, and on vacation, so we know it is quite sturdy. It will be with us for some time,  I am sure! What I also like about the hat is that it is light-weight. I know this hat is meant for cooler weather, but the other designs would be great for spring and summer. I can't wait to get them all bundled up this fall topped off with the little Brown & Tan Earflap Hat.
