Spring Fashionista Sponsor Spotlight: Miche Bag Demi Bag Review & Giveaway

As I grow older, I realize I have inherited many traits and characteristics from my Mom, including her love of handbags. She has an entire section of her closet dedicated to all types of handbags, vintage and new, small and big! They can all be found in their special place. Now I have started my little section of closet with handbags and just can't get enough!  Around this time last year, I heard about Miche and and fell in love, which is why I had to share them with my readers!

The Miche Story
On the way home from work in the fall of 2004, a young homemaker did something most women have done—she spilled on her favorite handbag. Frustrated by the thought of hunting for a replacement then transferring all the contents, she wished there was a way to just change the outside of the bag. The idea immediately popped into her mind to create a bag with changeable covers. Not to be deterred by her lack of sewing skills, she grabbed her super glue and some scrap fabric, took apart the stained bag, and made the very first prototype. With her rough creation in hand, she set out on a mission to bring the Miche Bag to life.

My Thoughts
I have to admit I love all kinds of purses, big and small. The smaller purses are great for a dinner out or a special occasion, but the bigger purses are perfect for Mamas who need to bring so many things with them on the go. There are four sizes from which to choose: Petite, Classic, Demi and Prima. I received the Demi-sized Miche bag to review, which is the perfect size for all of my items and much more.
What sets Miche bags apart from other companies is their unique base and shell system. You purchase a base, such as the Prima base and then you can shop for shells. Instead of buying separate purses for each outfit (and spending an ungodly amount of money), you just purchase the different shells. You may want a red shell one day, like the Janet and the next you may want one of the new spring color Miche bags to match a different outfit. The shells magnetically attach themselves to the base. It's so simple to switch them out and I have to admit it is fun, too.

As a Mama on a budget, Miche appeals to me for many reasons. I can shop without spending too much and still get a variety of styles to match my outfits. You definitely get more for your money! In addition, you can customize your purse with the handles you like, add on some charmers to dress it up and other accessories!

I've been wearing my Janet Shell pretty much nonstop over the past 2 months and can't even bare to change shells yet. It such a great fall and winter color, going with just about everything I wear. After all these months of wear and being around my children, this Miche bag has held up surprisingly well. In fact, it looks brand new. What's really great is being able to detach the inner base to wash when it gets dirty. This way your purse doesn't get ruined and it can stay nice and clean! Plus, the outer shells easily wipe off if you get something on them.

I love Miche but thought my sister would love one more than I would ...and I was right! The fact that she can switch out shells is the best part about these bags!
