Opening Doors With A Masters In Business Administration

I graduated college with undergraduate degrees in Psychology and German with the idea of becoming a psychologist. However, a semester of graduate school later, I was dropping out of school to pursue other options. That was years ago and now that my children are getting older, I am very interested in going back to school. My dad went to school at night when I was a child and eventually received his masters in business administration. For years he encouraged me to major in business and I ignored his attempts. Now that I'm a bit older, I realize how applicable a business degree is in today's world and marketplace. It is such a versatile degree and can be used in many different career settings.

I think business administration would be such an interesting subject to study because you learn about a business from the inside out. Going back to school first seemed like a long shot, but the more I read about it, the more it seemed a possibility! There are so many scholarships available for business students as well as assistantships at universities to help pay for tuition. Plus, you can apply for financial aid when additional assistance is required.

Are you planning on going back to school? As I searched through the classified this week, I realized just how many jobs require a business degree, so I suggest looking into a business degree. Even though I do not have a degree in business, I found out that many schools will accept you with prior business experience and a few hours of undergraduate coursework. I also found that many scholarships are available for families and women with children! I feel like this is only the beginning and with this degree, many doors will be opened in my future. Wish me luck!

If you can do it go ahead and further your education! Learning is an ongoing process and never stops once college is done.
