This Mama's Wake-Up Call

I have to apologize for being MIA for several days lately. The new year has turned out to be quite a challenge for us so far! Just when things were starting to fall back into place, I ended up in the hospital this weekend. I'm 31 years, am pretty active with my family, and think I am somewhat healthy... or thought I was until this past weekend. I woke up Saturday morning with chest pains, numbness and nausea. I felt awful. After convincing my husband I couldn't take it anymore, he huddled us into the car and headed the hospital.

I've forgotten how well the nurses and doctors take care of you and felt so relieved to get some fluids and medicine. Unfortunately, the chest pains were not resolving at all, so I had to stay overnight for observation. Talk about the longest night ever! All I wanted to do was sleep through the pain, but it was pretty much impossible. Fortunately, all the EKGs and tests came back somewhat normal, with only low blood pressure and low Potassium issues. I can deal with that, I thought.

Well, today is Wednesday and I am still recovering. With 2 boys to take care of during the day, this has proven to be quite a fete and, by the end of the day, I am completely exhausted. Please forgive the lack of posts and I promise the posts will pick up in the very near future, as well as reviews/giveaways! Also, my wake-up call has been to improve my lifestyle and get back to my natural parenting/living roots. Expect many posts about natural living, as well as cloth diaper reviews/giveaways in the future, too! It's time for this Mama (and blog) to get back on track!

I've been having this same issue too. After multiple blood draws and tests, we still have no answers.

Roxanne, I hope you are feeling better today. I said a little prayer for you. It must be so hard for you to get any rest being a busy mom of 2 boys, but I hope you can squeeze in moments to rest. Take care.
