I'm SMILING IT FORWARD™ because those adorable smiles we love are few and far between when our children are sick. If you have a child, you know that one of the worst things to go through with them is sickness. Yes, we don't get much sleep and, as parents, must be ready to help them at any time, but the worst part about it is how miserable and unhappy the child is while sick. As many of you know, my son, Liam, is going through chemotherapy and sometimes the treatment causes temperature spikes and a runny nose. I can immediately tell when Liam is sick because he is usually very animated and happy, laughing, smiling and talking 90 miles an hour all day. When he's sick, he just wants to sit still and watch a movie while sipping on some juice. He feels bad and I feel so bad for him!
When Liam has temperature spikes or sickness, there is only one pain reliever approved by our doctors: Tylenol® . It's our go-to medicine for our children when they are sick and every single time it has come through for us. Even when we've taken Liam to the emergency room in the past for temperatures and infections they have always given him Tylenol® to help bring the fever down and guess what? It has worked 100% of the time, making him feel better and giving us all some relief. Just a few months ago we went on Liam's Make A Wish trip to Disney World and, with Tylenol® packed just in case, we knew the trip would be amazing... and it was! Liam had the time of his life and I've never seen him smile so much. I could not have been happier just seeing my little man happy, healthy and enjoying life to the fullest.
One of my reasons for #SmilingItForward, Mr. Liam! |
