I remember playing with Transformers as a child and always thought they were so cool. Back in the 80s, they were pretty basic, but now there are all different types of Transformers for all ages. My son has enjoyed watching the Transformers movies and wanted some of his own to play with last Christmas, so he received an Optimus Prime and loved it. Our Thoughts

We received the Wheel Jack Transformer, which was not a character I was familiar with, but I knew that wouldn't make a different to the boys. Josiah and Liam really got a kick out of this toy because they enjoy building and creating new things. The Transformers Construct-Bots Triple Changer is recommended for children ages 6+ and I think this is about right for the ages. Liam, at 4 years old, is just a little too young to really put the pieces together, but with help from Josiah, he was able to do so. At 6 years old, Josiah easily assembled the pieces and was so proud each time he created something new. It was all so exciting to him and each time he found a new way to use his creativity to customize his Transformer. 

Since there are 55 pieces, and some of them are very small, I was, of course, a little worried about losing some of them. However, when I received the toy, I realized it all came neatly tucked inside a reusable case. This is such a great idea and I love that the boys can play with their Transformers Construct-Bots Triple Changer and then place all the pieces in the case for the next time. Otherwise, they would surely disappear. I also like that this toy encourages creativity and is great practice for hand-eye coordination. For them, spending time constructing their Transformers are part of playtime, but I know they are getting some educational value out of it, too.
