Buying A New Outfit At Kidsen For The New School Year

I've recently come to accept that I have an addiction that cannot be denied: boutique children's clothing, shoes and accessories. It's true! I used to enjoy shopping for my own clothes, but now I put way more focus on the items I purchase for my children. I love purchasing cute clothing and shoes that stand out in a crowd, which is why I absolutely love Kidsen, a UK children's store with absolutely amazing Scandinavian inspired children's products. From clothing and shoes to furniture and toys, they have a huge variety of items and I really want them all, but I had to just to pick out one outfit for my toddler, making him adorable and comfortable from head to toe, from Kidsen.

People used to think it was funny that I had over 100 pairs of shoes in my closet (my pre-kid addiction), but now my children also have quite a collection of their own. Kidsen has so many great Toddler Shoes that it's almost impossible to pick just one as a favorite. In fact, that have several Terra Plana and Primigi brand shoes for boys and girls, but I think my favorite pair is the I Walk Swift Blue Sport Shoes. They are cute, comfortable and versatile, so Josiah can wear them to school, outdoors and around the house.

To match Josiah's cute new shoes, I was looking for an adorable top and pants. It just so happens that Kidsen carries Mini A Ture Clothes, a Denmark boutique brand that is comfortable for play and also long-lasting. Plus, they are cute and unique! With the upcoming school year and fall weather, I decided on the Mini A Ture Casper Striped Tee in Moonlight Blue. Striped shirts are always in style and, layered with a jacket, it will be super-warm for those chilly early mornings. When paired with the Astair Trousers, they double as a pant as well as a roll-up 3/4 capri. So, when it gets hot mid-afternoon, roll up the pants and stay comfortable!

There are so many great brands and clothing for children, it really is hard to resist shopping for my kids whenever possible, especially when I find unique stores like Kidsen with hard-to-find brands! My Thoughts

I was so excited to receive several different pieces of clothing for the boys. I have to admit their winter wardrobe was lacking greatly in the fashion department, so this was the stylish boost they needed.  One of my favorite things Liam received are the Ticking Stripe Pants. They are absolutely adorable and can be dressy or comfy play pants, too. He also received the Aztec Eagle Shirt and the Happy Hoodie in Cinnabar. Believe me, we have been putting these clothes to good use and, as of now, they are holding up perfectly. My boys believe in playing hard outside, in the dirt and in the creek, so this is not something I can say of most clothes!

Josiah received 3 pieces of clothing, too. He loves getting new clothes, so I knew he'd be excited! He couldn't wait to try on his Sporty Pants, which were just as soft as Liam's new pants. They even have knee pads to protect them during play, which is awesome. At his school, he spends a great deal of time outside and often comes home with dirt and grime. These have held up for months now and they are lined in a red knit, which makes these perfect for the colder months. He received the Caballo De Policia shirt with a horse on the front and horseshoe on the back, which totally made his day. He loves pretending to be a cowboy! Lastly, he received the Ernesto Striped Tee, which is my favorite. I love him in stripes. Plus, this cotton tee is so incredibly soft.

My Thoughts

I was so excited to pick out one item for my review that I just couldn't decide. There are so many beautiful pieces of clothing- dresses, cardigans, skirts, pants, and much, much more. I eventually decided on a versatile dress I knew I would get to wear often, the Ruffle Front Lace Dress from the eShakti Little Black Dress section.

The dress is cinched at the waist with wide elastic, looking almost like a belt. The dress is made with a beautiful black floral lace. It has ruffles at the high collar, at the neck area and the bodice. For only $7.50 more, customers are able to customize the dress. I sent all of my measurements in and also chose to have the dress length longer so it falls below the knee. I also had the option of changing the sleeves, but I like the poofy look.

Needless to say, the dress fits like a charm. I love the way it feels, very form fitting, around my body. Because it fits so well, it's also fits in a very flattering way. There are no spots where it is too big or too tight. Every inch of it fits perfectly!

I got so many complements when wearing this dress. The band that acts as a belt does create a very slimming look. I could seriously wear this dress every day. It's such a nice dress that I really can wear it out for a dinner or I can wear it casually. Plus, one of my very favorite features are the hidden side pockets! I've never had a dress with pockets and let me just say, it's awesome! I love having somewhere to put my keys or little objects and not always feeling like I have to tote around a purse.

I'm very picky about the clothes I buy, but in this store, I couldn't decide on just one thing. It was so hard. Plus, there were tons of options under $25, which is very unusual for a boutique. Every time I've logged into Poshling I've found some of my favorite brands and some other great finds I wish I'd known about earlier!
