During the week, my husband works so hard and, on the weekend, I like to help him relax and do something special for him. Have you ever been to a wine tasting session? For someone who loves wines, this can be such a fun experience. You get to try several different types of wines and can experience all the different flavors and notes. When I was in Germany, I had the pleasure of visiting a winery and it was amazing! We tasted several Rieslings, some of which had been aged for many years. Now that I am a mom, traveling to Europe for months at a time is just not doable, but for wine lovers around the U.S. there is another way to experience different wines each month.

With the California Wine Club, members can receive many different full bottles of wine to sample every single month!There are actually four different wine clubs from which to choose. Here are the great choices:
1. We received membership to the Premiere Club for two months and have received our first 2 bottles of wine. Let me just say they are absolutely mouthwatering! I love both white and red wines, so I was excited to receive one of each to review. I was wondering how these would get safely delivered to our home and this picture shows you how. I was impressed how well the wines were packaged and packed in the box for delivery.

We received both the 2009 Robledo Family Winery Seven Brothers Napa Valley Tempranillo and the 2008 Robledo Family Winery Seven Brothers Lake Country Sauvignon Blanc. I'd honestly never had a Tempranillo before and loved the oak flavor to it. I am a huge red wine fan and this reminded me of a Cabernet, but seemed a bit lighter.

 The Sauvignon Blanc was a very light wine, great with our chicken pasta dinner one night. I could taste the fruity notes and think this would be a great wine for a hot summer evening. Both were impressive, from the bottling to the flavor. I would definitely purchase these again and am excited to find new wines that I enjoy. These would be great for a dinner or holiday party, too. You don't have to be a wine connoisseur or know much about wine at all to sample them. It's just pure fun and, when you find a wine you like, it's something you can share with others.

Online Gaming Fun with Reel Cash Critters on Gamesville (Review)

I have a secret love of online games and love trying them out. One of the online places I love playing games is on Gamesville. They have such a huge variety of fun games that are free, so it has served as great entertainment for many years. When I was given the opportunity to review the new an improved Reel Cash Critters, I jumped at it an couldn't wait.

How do you play Reel Cash Critters? The concept of the game is actually quite simple an similar to how a slot machine. With the Gamesville Gold Account, I was set to play with 30,000 GVs, which is the currency used to play the game. You can use as little as 5 GV per game or as much as 1000 per game, depending on how many lines you want (1, 2, or 3) and how much you want to win. The more you bet, the more you can win. I'm one of those people who likes to go all out with betting, so I bet the maximum most of the time!

Yup, it is easy, but also fun! Once I got started, I quickly wasted away an hour and was so excited when I won 1000 GV at one time. I started chatting with some Gamesville members who were playing Reel Cash Critters. You can click on "See Pay Table" to see how much each of the symbols is worth. When you get 2 or more of an item, you win! Occasionally players win cash prizes an one of the girls I was chatting with won $5 today! Someone else told me about the Battle games in which players can win much more GVs and/or cash money. Of course I had to see what the battle was all about, so I joined in. I won 12,000 GVs, which was about how much I had lost earlier in the day! I can't wait to try out the cash battle tonight, too.

I have to admit I was worried the game would be plastered with little kids, but you have to be 18+ to play Reel Cash Critters! This is a definite plus and I was able to actually have a good chat with the other members, mostly women my age and older. We had so much fun chatting and playing the game. They were also more than happy to give me game tips and encouraged me to keep trying. It's so awesome when you find a community like that to join and I cannot wait to sign on and play again later!

BOSS Season Premiere Friday, October 21st On STARZ 10ET/PT

I don't get excited about tv shows very often, but after reading about BOSS, I was intrigued. After watching the first episode, I am hooked (You, too, can watch the first episode by clicking the video below). I have always been a Kelsey Grammer fan and his character is much, much different than any of the roles he has previously taken on. Here's a bit about the show...

Series Synopsis:

Mayor Tom Kane (Kelsey Grammer) sits like a spider at the center of Chicago’s web of power; a web built on a covenant with the people. They want to be led, they want disputes settled, jobs dispensed, and loyalties rewarded. If he achieves all this through deception and immorality, so be it. As long as he gets the job done, they look the other way. 

Yet despite being the most effective mayor in recent history, a degenerative brain disorder is ripping everything away from him. He can’t trust his memory, his closest allies, or even himself.

Kane’s wife Meredith (Connie Nielsen) knows nothing. Theirs is a marriage of convenience. Kitty O'Neil (Kathleen Robertson), Kane’s political aide, has her suspicions but stays silent. Kane’s chief of staff,  Ezra Stone (Martin Donovan), has no illusions about the stakes involved and doesn’t ask questions.  And State Treasurer Ben Zajac (Jeff Hephner) is too concerned with his own political ambitions to notice anything unusual.
