Mother's Day Gift Guide: Wahl Hot/Cold Therapeutic Massager Review & Giveaway

This review was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own. I received a Wahl Hot/Cold Massager for the purpose of this review.

Yes, I am 33 years old, but like many women my age, I already have back issues. This is due to many years of being a waitress when I was in college as well as giving birth to my 9 pound baby. Most of the time I'm okay, but when my back starts to hurt, there is nothing I want more than a great massage. If I could, I would go to a spa every week, but we all know that is super expensive. This is why I was excited to review the new Wahl Hot/Cold Massager from www.wahlmassagers.com!
Unlike other massagers I've had in the past, this amazing massager offers hot and cold settings as well! The heat helps to increase circulation while the cold setting cools areas to help reduce swelling and inflammation. The area they heats or cools is found in the middle of the massager, so you can feel the sensation along with the vibration.
My husband has used the warm setting this week for his legs because he is often on his feet at work and comes home with sore feet and legs. This has worked wonders to soothe his pain and has lessened the pain he felt the day after, so I believe it has a lasting effect. I have used the cool setting for my back because there are areas that become painful and swollen. I love the way the cold feels as it soothes my pain.

From that alone, the Wahl Hot-Cold Therapy Massager is wonderful, but there is more! You can put it on a low vibration setting or high. Plus, there are 4 interchangeable attachments: Smooth Massage, Kneading Massage, Raised Bump Massage, Ripple Wave Massage. Each of these attachment massage in a unique way. For example, the kneading massage attachment has large bumps which are able to penetrate deep into muscle tissue. That one is my favorite and I have used it often.
I'm such a huge fan of this massager and my husband is thrilled with it, too, since it means less time at the spa. Plus, he's gotten some use out of it! It has such an ergonomic design that it's easy to hold and target areas, even those usually out of reach, when massaging. That's why we are happy to offer our readers a chance to win one of their own.

Relieve Back Pain With Tempurpedic

The first time I noticed any signs of back pain was after I had my first son, who ended up being almost 9 pounds! The back pain wasn't too bad until I was pregnant with my second son who sat right on my tailbone and cause excruciating, shooting pain. A few months after having him, I was still experiencing pain, so I knew it was time to do something about it.

There are many ways to minimize back pain, but only a few have worked for me. I first saw a specialist who diagnosed my pain so I could better understand what I was feeling and what caused it to worsen. This is the first and most important step because you will find out what you need to do!

The second thing I did was look for tempurpedic products. My mattress at the time was, unfortunately, a futon, which meant it was very thin and hard. Every morning I woke up completely stiff for hours. I looked at tempurpedic beds and we actually ended up buying a new mattress that is amazing! Paired with a tempurpedic pillow, I am in heaven every time I go to bed at night.

Yes, I've used other methods to control the pain, such as medication and ice packs, but I learned the hard way that if you sleep on a cheap mattress, this is much, much worse for your back and can cause unnecessary pain. Now that we have a nice mattress and my favorite pillow (I take it everywhere), my back pain is minimal. I rarely have muscle spasms and do not need to take medication.

So, the lesson here? See a doctor for your pain, but also make sure your bed is not causing back pain, too. Tempurpedic products was really the answer for me and it may be for you, too!
