Only a few years ago we learned that Liam had Neurofibromatosis and we had to find a variety of doctors, including an ophthalmologist, oncologist and neurologist. How is the Healthgrades app  and website so helpful and important? You can search for doctors in your area. You can narrow down by specialty and you can even see which types of insurance are accepted. In addition, other people can write their own reviews from experiences with the doctor, so you can find a doctor that not only meets your needs, but that also comes highly recommended. There are over a million reviews by other consumers and patients! Since I often pick doctors based on word of mouth, I really love this feature.

The Healthgrades app also allows you to manage doctor's appointments. You can set reminders so you never forget another appointment. I have unfortunately missed an appointment in the past because we have so many scheduled and it is always a hassle. Sometimes you have to pay a fee and other times you will have to wait another month to be seen.
