Pink Lining Poppins Modern Diaper Bag Review & Giveaway

I always wondered why my mom had a huge purse when I was a child. I thought it was so silly back then, but now that I have kids, I know exactly why she did. It is impossible to leave the house without a sack full of provisions- diapers, wipes, snacks, toys, teethers, burp cloth, etc., etc. The list is endless! A huge purse or diaper bag is a must-have item as a parent. For my first son, I had the ugliest diaper bag on earth, which was plain black and had not a shred of fashion associated with it, but it did its job. With Liam, I had a cotton cloth diaper bag, which was also a mistake considering how quickly they get dirty. Once washed they never quite look the same. When I heard about Pink Linking, I had to take a look at their diaper bags!

About Pink Lining
With so many fashionable designer bags and clothes on the market, the creator of Pink Lining decided to take on the challenge of the Mother and child market. How? By injecting fashion into diaper bags for the fashionable mom. Pink Lining is carried in John Lewis stores nationwide as well as Harrods and many others!

Our Thoughts
As a fan of British culture and history, traveling over to England in the past, I was so excited to work with Pink Lining and receive one of their changing bags. After much deliberation, I decided on the Poppins Bag Blue Bouquet. This adorable bag is a bit longer than the other Pink Lining bags and gives extra room for all of baby and mom's essential items. There really is plenty of room, not only in the nappy pockets for diapers and wipes, but there are 2 insulated bottle holders built into the side of the bag, too. In addition, there is a pen holder, key bob and a smaller zip pocket as well. This bag has become my purse/diaper bag. I love that the straps are expandable, so I can wear it across my shoulders almost like a messenger bag.
2 insulated bottle hiders & plenty of room!
As if the bag wasn't great already, there is also a padded changing mat and a zippered wet zip bag for on-the-go moms like me. Since we use cloth diapers, this is perfect for us! Now I can just put them in the bag and go about our shopping without worry (or smell). As we cloth diapering moms already know, they take up a great deal of room in the diaper bag, but the Poppins bag has plenty of room for several cloth diapers as well as wipes and other much needed accessories. I've even stashed my laptop in it a few times and usually have my iPad in it as well.
The Pink Lining Poppins Bag retails at $110 and is well worth the price. Oh, I forgot to mention that the bag is made of cotton canvas and nylon, but is coated in an environmentally friendly laminate so you can easily clean it just by wiping. No worries about getting the bag dirty anymore or having to wash in a washing machine anymore! It's so easy!

Little Love Buns Cloth Diaper Detergent Review & Giveaway

I remember way back when I first started cloth diapering and everything was new to me. Each day was a new learning experience and I eventually got the hang of it. One of the things that still bothers me are when the extra stinky diapers just don't get clean. You know what I mean, right? That lingering ammonia smell or the poo smell that just won't stop. We've tried several detergents and cloth diaper detergents, but have not been overly impressed with the ones I've tried. That is why I was excited to try out Little Love Buns Cloth Diaper Detergent.

About Little Love Buns
Dallas, the owner of Little Love Buns, is proud wife and Mama of 3. She began cloth diapering after the birth of her twins and had a great time trying the cute and affordable cloth diapers. However, she had a hard time finding a detergent that really worked for her and took care of all the diaper issues (smells, stains, build-ups and irritation). After researching, Dallas took matters into her own hands and decided to make her own detergent!
Little Love Buns Wipe Bits
After months of trial and error, she finally came up with a recipe she absolutely loved. One of her children has very sensitive skin and eczema, so finding a recipe for detergent and wipe solution for sensitive skin was very important. She found ingredients that blended well together and even stopped her hands from being so dry! This is why she is so proud of the products she sells and hopes you love them just as much!

My Thoughts
When I first took a look around the Little Love Buns website, I was impressed by the variety of scents available. Strawberry Watermelon, Cucumber Melon, Sweet Pea, and Peach Mango or only a few of the delicious scents available. I tell you, I had a tough time deciding on only two scents, but finally picked Sweet Pea and Cherry Almond, two of my favorites.
I received 2 Large Bags of Little Love Buns detergent, which is 85/170 loads, so you get a great deal of clean diapers for only $13.00 a bag. I honestly couldn't wait to give the detergent a try and let me just say it smells so good. As soon as I opened the bag, the smell of Sweet Pea and Cherry Almond floated around the room. The scent isn't overwhelming. Rather, it is a soft scent that leaves the diapers and clothes with that clean smell I love so much. I added about 2-3 Tablespoons of detergent to my load of cloth diapers and when they were done, they came out smelling fresh and looking great. There were no stains and the insides of the diapers were nice and white.
Here's a picture of one of the cloth diapers after washing in Little Love Buns Detergent:
We love Little Love Buns Cloth Diaper Detergent and highly recommend it for not only cloth diapers, but for other clothes, too. My son has Eczema, too, and we have to be careful about the types of detergents we use on his clothes. Little Love Buns not only worked perfectly, but did not break him out or cause dry skin, which is really all I can ask for and more.

Cloth Diapering Thoughts

Recently several friends have expressed an interest in cloth diapering. I am so excited to finally have others who want to give it a try! Because of this, I was inspired to make a cloth diapering tutorial with all the info you need to go cloth. Beginning in 2012, this will be available on the top toolbar along with a way for you to ask any of your cloth diapering questions. My ultimate goal is to write a cloth diapering book with all of the wonderful stories from cloth diapering families, so I hope to collect some great stories (the good and the bad)!
