Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year and I look forward to October nearing! I'm so excited that it's almost here and have already purchased decorations and costumes. I used to get all dressed up every Halloween and go out with friends for costume parties and contests, but, now that I'm a Mama, somehow that got shoved aside for trick-or-treating with the kids and getting their cute costumes. After seeing several parents dressed up last year, I decided I would dress up this year, too! Why not? So, I purchased my costume at Yandy.com and absolutely love it.

My Thoughts
I was very excited to review Yandy.com and actually get a costume for myself for the first time in about 4 years!! For someone who loves Halloween, this was quite a big deal and it took me a while to sort out the choices and narrow it down. Let me just say, this was a tough decision because even after narrowing down to only female costumes in extra-small and small sizes, there were still 977 choices to choose between!!
I eventually decided on the Charming Pirate Captain Costume. I love the bright red color with the black lining and gold buttons! I was torn on what size to get, as the size chart says a small is a dress size 2-4. I'm around a 4-6, but decided to just go for the small. I'm glad I did because it seriously fits like a glove! The costume is velvet with a layered waistcoat. The petticoat featured with the costume on the website was not included, but I was able to find one in black for only $10. I think it definitely adds something to the costume overall.
Now, this website has a huge variety of sexy clothing, lingerie, costumes and more, but even if you are a bit more conservative, there are costumes available that will not be as revealing. For example, the costume I purchased can be very revealing, but I plan to wear it with black tights when going out with the kids. It will be perfect for trick-or-treating then. Many of the others can be "Mom"-ed up, too, with an undershirt, tights, or even capris. They also offer some very cute swimsuits. As you can see in my picture, the costume is pretty short, but I was able to pull it down a little and also pull down the petticoat. With some tights or some tight capris, it will be perfect and I'll be nice and warm. I absolutely love my costume.
I also wanted to mention that there are costumes of all prices so you can find something ornate and expensive or something cheaper if you are on a budget. There are a ton of clearance costumes, too, that are also nice quality. I ordered my costume and received it only 2 days later, which was just amazing service. Plus, I got a pair of FREE undies with my order. They are really cute, too! We are huge Yandy.com fans now.
Buy It

You look ADORABLE! I don't think it's overly sexy, especially if you are going to pair it with tights. I think that is the solution to most costumes for women - LOL. Last year for ToTing I dressed as Princess Leia and my husband was a Storm Trooper. The kids were Woody and Buzzlightyear. The year before DH didn't dress up, but I was Wonder Woman with Spiderman and Tigger for the kids. And at Disney's Not-so-Scary I dressed up last year as TInkerbell, once again with the kids being Woody and Buzz. I think it's a hoot to get to dress up with the kids, since when I was younger my parents limited ToTing due to "stranger danger" and "poisoned candy". Anyways - super cute and go you!
