We were so excited for the chance to be named as a Pledge FloorCare Wood Products Ambassador with Mom Central last month and to participate in the Pledge-To-Pledge Challenge. We absolutely love Pledge products and have used them for as long as I can remember. I guess you could say it's actually a family tradition to use Pledge because my parents always used the lemon scented Pledge when dusting the house and now we do, too. This is why I was so excited to try their new products from the Pledge FloorCare Wood line.

We received the entire new line of Pledge FloorCare Wood products and, since we have always had hardwood floors in our houses, I knew these would be perfect for our family. We participated in the Pledge Challenge, using the products for 2 weeks and documenting any differences we noticed after usage. If you have wood floors, you know that after a while they just lose their sparkly shiny look. At the beginning of each week they start our pretty and clean, but by Friday they are dull and dirty once again. This is exactly why I couldn't wait to put these products to use.

On a Friday afternoon, my weekly cleaning day, I took a picture of our living room floor and what it looks like after a week of foot traffic, play and the messiness of children.

As you can see, the floor just lacks shine more than anything. It used to be so beautiful and shiny when we first moved in, but I haven't been able to get it back to that pretty new shine, so I got to work!

I started out cleaning the floors thoroughly with Pledge FloorCare Wood Concentrated Cleaner which got my floors cleaner than they have been in a long time. I almost posted a photo of the mop, but it was so gross! I was amazed at just how clean they were and couldn't wait to put the finishing touches on it with Pledge FloorCare Wood Finish.

During the week it never fails that something spills, drops and/or makes a mess on my floor. With children and babies, this is pretty much a daily occurrence. For small spills like a drop of chocolate pudding or juice, I use Pledge FloorCare Wood Spray Cleaner because it's so easy to get out, spray at the area and clean up without dulling the beautiful shine I already had! Plus, the citrus scent smells great. Now, for bigger spills like something sticky, I use the Pledge FloorCare Wood Squirt & Mop. Because I can squirt it in an area and clean it easily with my mop. This is perfect for cleaning smaller areas, too, like our bathrooms.

Look at the difference! My floor is shiny once again. The only time I've gotten it to this amount of shine is when it is still wet after mopping, but guess what? The floors are absolutely dry in this photo. I'm absolutely amazed.

Which Pledge FloorCare Wood product is my favorite? That's a tough question because I really have enjoyed using all of them and will continue to do so. The Pledge FloorCare Wood Spray Cleaner is one of my favorites because I can easily clean up spills and small messes. However, I think the product that made such a difference on my floors is the Pledge FloorCare Wood Finish. Even near the end of the week, our floors still have shine left and I believe it really does work to protect the wood. I'm so impressed with all of the products, but I think using the Finish after cleaning my floors really was the cherry on top!

I am so thankful that I participated in the Pledge-To-Pledge Challenge and found these products. I honestly had no problem keeping up with the challenge whether or not my kids were at school because they were so easy to use. I do my major cleaning while they are occupied, but when there are smaller spills or when I had to use Squirt & Mop, they were immediately volunteering to help me out, so that made me extremely happy! It's nice having products that are specifically for my hardwood floors. The not only clean my hardwood floors, but also keep them shiny and protected.

BISSELL CleanView Vacuum Makes Vacuuming Easier & Faster!

We just recently moved to a new town for my husband to start his own business. For the past few years we've lived in a cabin that has hardwood floors and I'd begun to really miss carpeting. Hardwood just never seems like it is clean! However, carpet seems to suck things up and you don't realize just how dirty it is. My old vacuum was used to the hardwood, apparently, because it died shortly after moving. When the opportunity came around to review the new BISSELL CleanView Vacuum, I couldn't wait to try it out because I'd heard such great things about BISSELL products and my mom loves hers.

I have to admit, I am not someone who enjoys cleaning and vacuuming just happens to be my least favorite. Mostly because it is loud and I can't hear what the boys are getting into... and they always get into something when I am not around. BISSELL's CleanView Vacuum has OnePass Technology, which means I spend less time cleaning and more time relaxing... and keeping my eyes on those sneaky boys! I always leave vacuuming until last, so when I am finished with all my cleaning, it's my time to sit back in my lounge chair, sip on some tea and watch some tv for a little while. I put that extra time to very good use, believe me! There is a brush inside that rotates in such a way that it cleans deeper into the carpet, cleaning more on the first pass. As if that isn't reason enough to love this vacuum, there is much more to this little vacuum than you could imagine.

When I say the vacuum is little, I mean is it so lightweight, something I absolutely love. Remember the old clunky vacuums that weighed a ton and made your back ache just by looking at it? This is nothing like that! It easily glides across carpet as if it knows exactly what to do. Plus, it has a Bottom Easy Empty™ dirt tank, so no gross vacuum bags to deal with either. I had no idea how great this would be. It's so easy to dump out the dust, trash and dirt from the tank and feels much cleaner than what accumulates in a bag.

When vacuuming, I also clean my couches both on top and under the cushions. Something different about this vacuum is the TurboBrush, which is used for furniture, stairs and more. This unique brush is designed with a rotating part that cleans down close to the area being cleaned. With the attachments, cleaning my couches has become easier than ever before. I have some great pictures of this vacuum in action and will post them tomorrow! Something is wrong with my SD card and my computer guru is not around to help me unlock it. Eek! Most simply put, I am absolutely in love with this vacuum. My last vacuum had nothing on this one. All of the great things I'd always heard about BISSELL were confirmed and I'm now a fan for life. Parenting isn't always easy and keeping a house clean with babies, toddlers and children running around is almost impossible. Why not make life easier with the BISSELL CleanView Vacuum? Get Your Home Ready For Guests With Arm & Hammer Baking Soda This Holiday Season

Since becoming a mom, I've been much more careful about the types of cleaners I use around the house. I don't like having toxic liquids and products in our cabinets because, as we all know, kids are very curious, and I don't want them getting their little hands on them. That's why I started using natural products to help clean our home!

I remember my mom using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to keep our refrigerator fresh smelling, but had no idea until a few years ago that there were many other uses for which we could use it! Using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is an inexpensive way to spruce up your home and clean it wonderfully!

What are some great ways to use  Arm & Hammer Baking Soda? Here are some tips!

1. Clean your food area and cooking utensils! Sprinkling a bit of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda on a wet sponge or cloth and wiping the area is an easy and perfect way to clean the area and make sure it is safe to cook and/or eat food!
2. Freshen up your furniture. Just sprinkle some Arm & Hammer Baking Soda onto the upholstery, wait about 15 minutes and vacuum! This is a great way to get rid of odors.
3.  Brush your teeth! This is a great way to clean teeth, whiten teeth and it's also very inexpensive. I've tried this before and it works great. Just put some Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in your palm, dip your toothbrush into it and then brush those pearly whites. Simple!

We will be entertaining guests this holiday season, so I have been slowly getting things ready for the family to arrive. Arm & Hammer Baking Soda has been an amazing help with cleaning. Until just recently, we were hosting a cat family (a mama cat and her 4 babies). Unfortunately, accidents did occasionally occur on our porch, so we had to deodorize the area somehow. At first I tried other ways to deodorize, but NOTHING worked to get the smell out like Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. It was amazing because after trying several other products, all I did was sprinkle on the baking soda, let it sit and then scrub it up with some water. The smell was instantly removed! If you have any indoor pets or those prone to accidents on your porch, you definitely need to keep some Arm & Hammer Baking Soda stocked.

Another way I often use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is for washing Liam's stinky cloth diapers. Phew! Some of his All-In-One diapers started getting smelly and I was close to throwing them away. Nothing seemed to work to completely remove the smell. Then I read about using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, so I decided to give it a try since we had some in the pantry. I just added Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to some hot water in my washing machine, let the diapers soak for about 15-30 minutes and then I completed the wash. This is the perfect way to freshen up stinking diapers AND to get them looking white again. I was completely amazed!
