Children are messy! Very, very messy. Take this child, my little Miss A, for example:

A simple cupcake turns into this really fast. Also, she likes to put on makeup... not just on her face, but all over her body. All over her body. Usually it happens right after a bath or right before we're heading out the door. Always at the perfect time! 

Sometimes with these messes I don't have time to put her back in the bath, so I turn to baby wipes, but have been searching for an all-natural brand that works well to clean her up. Well, for the last few weeks, I've been turning to BabyGanics Fine & Handy Hand & Face Wipes!

My Thoughts

I really liked these wipes because they did a great job, they are eco-friendly and also all-natural! Anytime my daughter got messy with dinner or sneaking into makeup, I just took out some BabyGanics wipes to get her nice and clean. Another great thing was the ability to grab this pack of wipes and add it to my already full diaper clutch without it taking up much more room. (Wonderful, small items are what I look for!) Although I'd never head of BabyGanics before this review, I'm now a huge fan and can't wait to try more of the products I found on their website. I, of course, want the best for my children and BabyGanics is perfect for us. I also noticed that it didn't dry out skin like some other wipes do. The skin conditioners contained in the wipes really do make a difference. If you haven't tried these wipes yet, definitely give them a try!

Get Your Home Ready For Guests With Arm & Hammer Baking Soda This Holiday Season

Since becoming a mom, I've been much more careful about the types of cleaners I use around the house. I don't like having toxic liquids and products in our cabinets because, as we all know, kids are very curious, and I don't want them getting their little hands on them. That's why I started using natural products to help clean our home!

I remember my mom using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to keep our refrigerator fresh smelling, but had no idea until a few years ago that there were many other uses for which we could use it! Using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is an inexpensive way to spruce up your home and clean it wonderfully!

What are some great ways to use  Arm & Hammer Baking Soda? Here are some tips!

1. Clean your food area and cooking utensils! Sprinkling a bit of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda on a wet sponge or cloth and wiping the area is an easy and perfect way to clean the area and make sure it is safe to cook and/or eat food!
2. Freshen up your furniture. Just sprinkle some Arm & Hammer Baking Soda onto the upholstery, wait about 15 minutes and vacuum! This is a great way to get rid of odors.
3.  Brush your teeth! This is a great way to clean teeth, whiten teeth and it's also very inexpensive. I've tried this before and it works great. Just put some Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in your palm, dip your toothbrush into it and then brush those pearly whites. Simple!

We will be entertaining guests this holiday season, so I have been slowly getting things ready for the family to arrive. Arm & Hammer Baking Soda has been an amazing help with cleaning. Until just recently, we were hosting a cat family (a mama cat and her 4 babies). Unfortunately, accidents did occasionally occur on our porch, so we had to deodorize the area somehow. At first I tried other ways to deodorize, but NOTHING worked to get the smell out like Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. It was amazing because after trying several other products, all I did was sprinkle on the baking soda, let it sit and then scrub it up with some water. The smell was instantly removed! If you have any indoor pets or those prone to accidents on your porch, you definitely need to keep some Arm & Hammer Baking Soda stocked.

Another way I often use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is for washing Liam's stinky cloth diapers. Phew! Some of his All-In-One diapers started getting smelly and I was close to throwing them away. Nothing seemed to work to completely remove the smell. Then I read about using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, so I decided to give it a try since we had some in the pantry. I just added Arm & Hammer Baking Soda to some hot water in my washing machine, let the diapers soak for about 15-30 minutes and then I completed the wash. This is the perfect way to freshen up stinking diapers AND to get them looking white again. I was completely amazed!

 Here at Children Teaching Mama, we strive to eat healthy foods and keep away from junk foods. However, chocolate is one of those delicious treats that is almost impossible to ignore! Just recently I was given the opportunity to throw an UNREAL party at our house and we got to eat all the chocolate we wanted. You heard me right, an all chocolate party!

Party Time
We had a fun party with family members to try out all five of the UNREAL candies. My husband (the sneak) got into the candy before the party and gave himself away when remarking just how delicious the candy is. I couldn't wait to see what the rest of the family had to say!

Everyone had a great time at the party and enjoyed trying the delicious treats. I think it was pretty much unanimous that the UNREAL Peanut Butter Cups were the most delicious, even more so than competitors. Everyone said they would be purchasing more in the future, so I think my work is done for now!

Tom's Of Maine Silly Strawberry Kid's Toothpaste Review & Giveaway

I have had the most difficult time ever getting Josiah to brush his teeth. The problem isn't that he won't stand still to brush, but he doesn't like any of the toothpaste except the baby kind that can be swallowed. It's been frustrating for me and I've noticed his teeth looking a bit yellow. I've tried many toothpastes in the past, but none of past the test, which is why I was so anxious to try the Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry Toothpaste.

I love Tom's of Maine products, so we participated in something called the "Silly Strawberry Swap" with other blogging parents. We switched out our children's toothpaste for the Silly Strawberry so we could see how it fared when compared to other toothpastes. I told Josiah we were going to try a new toothpaste and he was both excited and anxious due to past experiences.

During our first time brushing with Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry Toothpaste he remarked,"Yum!!" and this is when I knew we had a shot at this one. I was immediately hopeful. Every time we brush, Josiah asks for his strawberry toothpaste and that's fine with me. I know he'll take the time to brush carefully and the way he should.

My Thoughts

I was so excited to receive my box full of Kim & Scott's Gourmet Pretzels. They were packed nicely in an insulated cooler with cool packs to keep them cold during delivery, which I loved.  I received a variety of the stuffed pretzels, including:

• Apple Cinnamon                             
• Cheddar Jalepeno
• Chocolate Crumb
• Grilled Cheese
• Pizza 
• Spinach Feta

Josiah immediately wanted a Pizza Pretzel, stuffed with cheese, tomato sauce, and topped with cheese and Italian spices! The pretzel was definitely a hit so, I had to try one, too. The box was gone within 24 hours. Next we went for the Grilled Cheese Pretzels and those were fabulous, too. Every single pretzel I tried was delicious, though I never even got a Chocolate Crumb pretzel because Josiah ate them all before I had a chance.

Although I love pretzels, I don't buy them very often because of the ingredients, which are usually not so good. What I love about Kim & Scott's Gourmet Pretzels besides their commitment to the environment and their community, is that they only use all-natural ingredients and even have a line of gluten-free pretzels. Now we have a great snack option that's also delicious. Josiah keeps asking for more and, as I just found on their website, the pretzels are sold online and at many locations around the US, including Kroger, Target, and Earth Fare!
