Leading Lady Lace Nursing Bra Review

I have to admit that I am very picky about the types of bras I wear. I like underwire because it makes me feel secure and I also want them to be pretty even if no one else will see them! When I was pregnant with Liam, I knew I would be breastfeeding and, because all I had were old nursing bras from when Josiah was a baby, it was time to search for new ones. I was quickly reminded just how plain nursing bras can be. I didn't want just any bra, which is why I was so excited to find Leading Lady online.

About Leading Lady
Leading Lady has been around for quite a while, opening its doors back in 1939! So, it is safe to say they know a thing or two about nursing bras and full-figured bras. At first, their bras were made for medical use, but by the 1960s, they started bring style and fashion into play. Skipping to the present, Leading Lady bras can be found at a variety of retailers as well as on their website! These bras have created quite a positive reputation and breastfeeding moms look to Leading Lady for quality, beautiful nursing bras for their needs. They also have full-figured bras and maternity bras, offering up to a size 52G, so if your size is hard to find, they will most likely have it!

My Thoughts
I reviewed a Leading Lady nursing bra about a year ago and was so impressed by the quality of this bra. This is why I was so excited to receive their Lace-Cup Underwire Nursing Bra in the color violet. The picture of this bra did not prepare me for just how beautiful it really is! The purple is a nice lavender color and the lace is so detailed. They come in a variety of sizes, colors and designs, so moms have a huge variety from which to choose!
From the outside, my Lace-Cup Underwire Nursing Bra looks just like a regular bra, which is great because even when I am not nursing I want to wear this comfortable bra. On the inside, there is a sling for extra support. When you are ready to nurse, just snap open the clasp, pull down the bra and you are ready for feeding baby!

Even my husband complemented this bra and had no idea it was a nursing bra. It's truly one of the most beautiful bras I own and, by far, the most comfortable. I've been wearing and washing it for months now and it still looks like new! I have a feeling this one will be around for quite a while. Retailing at only $31.00, this is a quality bra for a great price. We highly recommend Leading Lady!

Cover Up With The Cleava Snap Camisole Review & Giveaway

One thing I've learned over the years is that I definitely feel more comfortable when I dress modestly. That being said, I have a hard time finding shirts and tank tops that help me achieve this look. I was super excited to get my Cleava products in the mail! I always seem to have such a hard time finding tank tops that cover everything up & look cute!

About Cleava Camisole
These little clip in tops are meant to help cover up your cleavage and they also give you a layered look. They are easy to put on and comfortable. Plus, I learned on their website that Cleava is great for nursing moms, too!

Sounds like just what I was looking for! Well here are just a couple of my attempts:

I don't know what caused it but, no matter what I did they always looked just a little bit bunched. I couldn't get them to pull snug like I needed them too. Otherwise, I really liked this product. It did just what it was supposed to by covering cleavage. I love that I can wear shirts and sweaters that are low-cut without having to wear another complete shirt underneath. Even in the wintertime I get super-hot, so this is a great way to cover up without getting overly hot.

I feel like the Cleava definitely covered what I wanted and needed covered. I love how easy they are to clip in after I've already gotten dressed. I love to change out my tank tops a couple times to make sure I have the one that looks best, so these are perfect for me.

Have you tried Cleava before? Well, here is your chance!

Top Things That People Should Stop Saying Regarding Breastfeeding

As a natural mom, I really wanted to breastfeed both of my children. It just so happens that Liam was a preemie, so I ended up having to pump and they'd feed him through a tube and then he had to take it through a bottle later on. Just like many babies, once he got home, his digestion changed and he started having severe constipation and other issues no matter what we did. Needless to say, breastfeeding didn't last longer than 2 months, unfortunately.

I completely support breastfeeding and encourage all moms to try, but sometimes it just can't happen. I just came across an article on Just West of Crunchy's blog and was inspired to link up to her and write my own list of things people say about breastfeeding that really peeve me. These are all Just West of Crunchy inspired, so some are the same and/or similar!

6 Breastfeeding Myths

1. Everyone Can Breastfeed! That just isn't so. It doesn't always come naturally, babies don't always latch on easily, and other issues can arise. So many Mamas end up feeling guilty because they cannot breastfeed and others make them feel guilty, too, but they shouldn't. If you try and it doesn't happen, at least you did give it a try, which is more than I can say for many.

2. Formula = Poison! While I do encourage Mamas to breastfeed or give it a try, formula is the next choice if it doesn't work out. What else can they feed the baby if not breast milk? Obviously it isn't poison and I hate when people act like it is. I know plenty of formula fed babies and all of them are as healthy as those who were breastfed.

3. If you don't breastfeed, you obviously don't care enough about your children. Please! It's hard to even comment on this. I've even heard people comment that formula fed babies should be taken away from their parents. It's just ridiculous.

4. Your Breastmilk Not Coming In? Other issues? Well, try _____ and it will work! I'm sure you've gotten all types of advice from other Mamas. Try some special teas, herbs, foods, etc. While some Mamas have luck with them, they aren't a definite.

5. Your Baby Isn't Latching/Eating- Keep Trying, It Will Happen. When I hear this, in the back of my mind I'm thinking this equates to "Starve your baby and eventually they'll drink something." When I had trouble breastfeed my first, the lactation consultant kept telling us this and even sent us home without Josiah latching or eating properly. Wrong, lady! She should have helped me get the hang of it before sending us on our way to be at home with a crying baby, wondering what the heck to do.

6. Breast Is Best! Okay, yes, I do think breastfeeding should be the first choice for any Mama, but is it always best for the child? The answer is no. Do you drink, smoke, take medicine? If so, breast is definitely not always best.

Those are just some of my peeves. :) What are yours?
I realize there are many great reasons to breastfeed, but I also think that we, as Mamas, should support each other on our decisions and try to help each other rather than criticize.
