Born Free Eco-Friendly Bottles Review & Giveaway (US and Canada)

In 2007, Josiah was born and little was ever mentioned about BPA, but only a year later we heard more and more about the dangers associated with BPA. Now, many baby products, especially bottles are BPA-free and we definitely wanted safer options for Liam.We did our research and decided upon Born Free products.

For those of you who haven't heard of Born Free, here's a bit about their products:

The Venting System

Born Free is the leading BPA-Free baby brand, which combines eco-friendly, safe products with innovation. Three concerned fathers came together to create Born Free in 2006 due to all of the remaining products containing BPA. The unique venting system contained in Born Free bottles and cups was designed to decrease symptoms of colic and middle-ear infections!

Their product line is constantly expanding and now includes Eco-Friendly Recyclable Plastic Bottles! Once your baby is off the bottle and moved on, you can send them, free of charge, back to Born Free to be recycled into other products!


My Thoughts

We are such Born Free fans, I couldn't wait to actually do this review. Most of our bottles are glass, though they are also available in plastic. I was a little worried about going glass, but none of them have ever broken or even cracked! Since Liam was breastfed in the beginning, we wanted a bottle that would mimic Mama and the Born Free nipples are perfect, too.

We have also purchased Born Free training cups for Josiah. That's when we learned that the training cup collars fit on the bottles and vice versa, which is wonderful and meant we could use them for both a bottle and cup. Wish I'd known that earlier because they do last forever! Plus, both of my boys have had awful ear infection issues and I really do believe the venting system works very well.

I received a Twin Pack of the 5oz. Eco-Friendly Bottles with size 2 nipples. I think the idea of being able to ship them back free of charge for recycling is wonderful. Hopefully it will inspire more people to take that extra step to send them back.

All of the Born Free bottles have been wonderful and, since Liam is still a little behind developmentally and taking a bottle, we are still using them!Some of cups are even older than Liam and still look new. I just love my Born Free, as you can tell, and I highly recommend them for all parents and parents-to-be!
