Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner has created a new website with some amazingly fun "recipes" for fun family activities! I am always looking for fun ideas, so Recipes for Fun is perfect for our family. We made our own slime this year, baked cookies, painted and much more, which is great because we can also share our own recipes on cloroxrecipesforfun.com.
What's more? To celebrate the new Recipes for Fun site, Clorox is hosting the Ultimate Mess Party Sweepstakes! Sign up for your chance to win $10,000 towards your own Ultimate Mess Party AND chances to win daily prizes, too! All you need to do is register or submit your own recipe for fun. How easy is that? Share your own recipe and you receive a $1.00 coupon for Clorox® Clean-Up® and you'll also get 10 extra entries for the grand prize. In addition, there will be some amazing prizes awarded randomly just for viewing recipes each day. You can win coupons and gift cards to a variety of retailers. What are you waiting for? Go register and look at some recipes for fun. You might just win and your kids will thank you, too.
So, in the spirit of the sweepstakes, I am going to share one of our recipes for fun! Josiah loves science and arts & crafts, so this one is a bit of both. Recently I shared a post about making bath salts with my son. He had such a great time and it was super easy. All you need is some Epsom Salt, Baking Soda, food color (optional) and an essential/fragrance oil. We used 2 cups at a time of Epsom salt, 2 Tablespoons of baking soda, a few drops of food color and a few drops of essential lavender oil. Just mix them together in a mixing bowl and spoon into containers. We bought some cheap, pretty glass containers and did made two different colors of bath salts to make it look pretty. Then I found some spare ribbon and wrapped it around the lid for decoration, too. These made perfect Valentine's Day gifts for Josiah's teachers, but also made great gifts for pretty much any occasion. There really is no wrong way to make bath salts and you can change things up each time you make them to try something different! This is what made it so much fun. Plus, clean up was easy.
