Karen's Clothesline is based out of Athens, Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and offers a variety of items. She's always creating new items and trying new ideas.

My Thoughts

Every time  Karen adds new dresses and items to her Facebook page, I get so excited. I really need a little girl to pamper with her dresses! Just recently, Josiah had a Pirate themed Birthday Party and Karen decided to make a themed birthday present just for him. He received a Pirate Tooth Fairy Pillow (featured to the left). He hopefully has a few years to go before teeth start falling out, so, until then, it will be a travel pillow. It's so cute and he absolutely loves taking it around. The pillow will be perfect for our trip to the beach next month, too.

My Thoughts

I love organics and especially love organic products designed for our children. The packaging was colorful and fun, which interested the kids and got them excited that these were just for them. We received two items:

1.  Sport TruKid Sunny Days SPF 30 3.5 oz, which is an all-natural sunscreen that's water resistant and great for sensitive skin. The formula is non-toxic and works well on the entire family! We've used this when going to the pool and it works very well. It takes a while to rub in, but is definitely water resistant and works well for hours of play. I'll be taking this with me on our trip to the beach in July. I think 30 SPF is the perfect level for the kids to play at the beach without getting burned.
 
2. TruKid Happy Face & Body Lotion - 8.0 oz., a great smelling lotion that kids will love. It's a great moisturizer and I've admittedly stolen this from the kids. I use it on my super-dry legs and they it immediately makes them shiny and takes away that ashy look I can't stand. I really love this stuff. Plus, it doesn't break out of son's sensitive skin, so it's something I can bring on a trip for the entire family.

I love the TruKid products and can't wait to try out more of them. Their prices are great, something not always expected with organic and all-natural products. I was surprised and elated because it's something our on-a-budget family can purchase without feeling guilty.

Cars 2 Review & Fun Package Giveaway Ends 6/28

My son loves cars and especially loves the movie Cars! As soon as he saw the preview for Cars 2, I knew we'd be there. We were invited to attend an advanced screening of Cars 2 on Saturday at Atlantic Station in Atlanta. We were very lucky to be able to attend an early viewing this weekend and boy was it something.

Here's a little background for the new Cars 2 movie:

When star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy)

head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix, Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage!

My Thoughts

Going into the theater, I was expecting the usual take on sequels with their similar plots and an overall feeling of Déjà vu throughout the film. However, Cars 2 greatly exceeded my preconceived notions! Cars 2 basically took a few of the favorite characters and weaved them into an animated James Bond film. You are immediately drawn in from the very beginning and, with one action sequence after another, the movie is over before you know it!

Taking Josiah was the ultimate challenge since he is 4 years old and has a limited attention span. Cars 2 passed with flying colors, as he sat, watching intently throughout the film and wasn't asking to go until the very end. We saw the 3-D version and it was amazing. I've seen other 3-D movies in the past where you could barely tell a difference, but there were parts where I could swear the cars were soaring in the air. Josiah even got scared a few times and kept asking why the cars were popping out at him. Poor boy!

Overall, this is a great movie for the entire family. The kids will love it and there are several jokes and references just for the older viewers. It's a Must See Film of the Summer!!
