Preparing for our guests doesn't just mean we have to clean the house, but this is the time of year we bring out boxes of winter clothes for the boys and store the summer clothes with short sleeves. This means even more clothes for me to clean, especially the holiday clothing I know the boys will wear most often. Plus, the weather may be colder, but that hasn't stopped my kiddos from having a great time outdoors. No matter what, they love being outside and this means dirty clothes with stains and, since this winter has been very rainy here so far, I've had my share of mud stains over the past weeks, including little footprints all over our carpet.
We were sent a sample of Arm & Hammer Ultra Power 4X Laundry Detergent to help freshen and clean our clothes and we definitely put it to the test. With all the mud the boys got into this weekend alone, I knew this would be quite a challenge for the detergent.We have such a hard time keeping any light colored t-shirts bright and clean, whether from mud, food, paints or some other mess the boys get into. My husband has been known to spill food on his clothes, too, so I always have my work cut out for me. Of course, the first thing I think of when I hear the words "Arm & Hammer" is the baking soda and this is one of the reasons the Arm & Hammer Ultra Power 4X concentrated laundry detergent is so powerful and can fight those tough stains. When cleaning Liam's clothes and cloth diapers in the past, we've added baking soda, but this detergent already has two scoops of baking soda to help really pack a punch when attacking those stains.
Arm & Hammer Ultra Power 4X Laundry Detergent definitely helped me out with the load of clothing I needed to wash this weekend... all 5 loads! We have used Arm & Hammer baking soda and other detergents, but this was our first time trying this particular detergent and I was delightfully impressed. Why? First of all, I didn't have to use as much detergent because it is stronger, concentrated formula, so we can save money! It cleaned our clothes like an expert, too! Secondly, with other detergents, I often have to use extra to get the fresh scent to come through after the clothes are out of the dryer, but not with this one. The name of the scent is Refreshing Falls and I absolutely love the way it smells once the clothes are cleaned, dry and folded. Even the boys mentioned liking the smell of our new detergent, so that tells me this detergent is a keeper.
We've decorated and cleaned our house very well so far, but we still have a way to go before our guests arrive the weekend before Christmas. We'll also be busy in the kitchen preparing all kinds of delicious foods. However, I have one less thing to worry about when it comes to clean, fresh clothes because Arm & Hammer Ultra Power 4X Laundry Detergent has taken care of that department! Even those mud stains came out and my husband's work shirts look so white. We may not have any snow here in Georgia this winter, but it looks like we will have a white Christmas after all!
