Babee Greens Organic Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway

I live very close to the Blue Ridge Mountains so, when I found that a cloth diaper was manufactured there, I was very excited! Babee Greens organic cloth diapers and baby products provide a wonderful alternative to disposables and cloth diapers with chemically grown fabrics.

Ten years ago, Babee Greens began as a small cloth diapering company and has now expanded to include other sustainable and biodegradable products, including cloth wipes, nursing pads, and more! With a mission to create a better world for babies, Babee Greens products are made of high quality fabrics and the organic cotton is never grown with any chemicals or fertilizers.

Many of the Babee Greens products contain a cotton and hemp fabric blend. Hemp contains oils that are anti-microbial. This means the cloth diapers are resistant to mold, fungus, and bacteria, which often cause diaper rash. The dense fiber also absorbs 4x as much as cotton alone.

My Thoughts

I received a Babee Greens Growing Greens Cotton/Hemp fitted cloth diaper to review. At first I was a little confused by all the snaps. The Growing Greens fitted diaper is definitely a bit different from the usual fitted diapers, but the more I investigated, the more I liked this diaper!

The Growing Greens diaper is designed to fit babies from 5-35 pounds, which is why there are so many snap options. For the smallest size, you can actually snap down the front of the diaper so it doesn't hit the umbilical cord, which is key for healing the belly button during those first few weeks. Even though several other diapers have advertised this feature, the front usually doesn't quite come down far enough as not to hit the belly, but the Growing Greens diaper allows a good amount of room! I absolutely love that feature and wish I'd found these when Liam was a newborn.  Also, all of the snaps allow for custom fitting and, as tried on my 32 pound toddler, it can vouch for it fitting a 30+ pound child. The diaper also has plenty of room for snap-in contours and a double since they just lay right inside.

I've not used hemp diapers in the past so, I was curious about the absorbency. Liam is quite a night-time wetter and usually soaks through his diapers every single night. With the snap-in contour and a doubler, the diaper did not leak at all! It was completely soaked through, but didn't leak, which is monumental. I've also noticed that the more we wash it, the diaper seems to be even more absorbent for some reason.

The Babee Greens Growing Green cloth diaper is a wonderful fitted diaper and would be perfect to purchase for newborns on up. You could save so much money with these diapers, as they really do fit all the way through the potty training years. I highly recommend purchasing these diapers for your little ones!
